THE PEK Pek I have an alternative rock trio born in 2007. The band finds inspiration in the typical sounds of the 90s and the grunge scene but also in the rough rock and psychedelic '70s. In November of 2010 released il loro album d’esordio “Heroin” pubblicato con l’etichetta genovese Taxi Driver Records. La degenerazione fisica ed esistenziale di Danny, protagonista lunatico e cinico, viene raccontata attraverso sette tracce suddivise in 3 atti; I suoni brillanti del primo atto lasciano spazio a quelli più cupi e rocciosi del secondo, fino ad esplodere nel caos schizofrenico di Follow, traccia che conclude il disco. Le grafiche realizzate da Sparta, fotografano l’essenza dell’album, ritraendo i vari aspetti della dipendenza e dell’inquietudine del protagonista, stereotipo di una società profondamente egoista ed agonizzante. BLACK RAINBOWS BLACK RAINBOWS formed in 2005, after recording their first full lenght album (titled "Twilight In The Desert") they were picked up by Longfellow Deed Records, a french label based in Paris, already known for the production of bands like: BABY WOODROSE, HONCHO, RITE ,SPARZANZA AND THUNDER EXPRESS (with Robert Dahlqvist, ex Hellacopter's guitarist). In these last years BLACK RAINBOWS shared the stages with bands like AIRBOURNE,WITCHCRAFT,DEAD MEADOW, BLACK MOUNTAIN, LOS NATAS, WHITE HILLS, FATSO JETSON, MICHEAL DAVIS FROM MC5, VIC DU MONTE'S PERSONA NON GRATA, Their sound it's a sort of a mix between MC5, BLUE CHEER ,HAWKWIND, BLACK SABBATH and recent hard-psych-stoner rock as KYUSS ,MONSTER MAGNET, FU MANCHU, QOTSA and NEBULA. "The band plays a kind of psychedelic Stoner Rock, that draws influences from actslike Nebula, the high and mighty Blue Cheer (hail!) and Slo Burn, as well as the groovy touches from Kyuss (All That's Heavy) BLACK RAINBOWS second full lenght is called "CARMINA DIABOLO" 45 minutes of HeavyY-Psych/Stoner Rock!!!
