Saturday, January 8, 2011 concert season resumes Arci Checkmate Rock Club after the Christmas holidays.

This Saturday will be performing on the stage of the Zeus Checkmate!

The Zeus! are a duo of Luca Cavina (35 Gauge, Transgender, Hellish, Pornoise, Pixel Johnson, Beatrice Antolini) to the distorted bass and Paul Mongardi (Transgender, Rebelde, The Genius, Jennifer Gentle, Mortuary, Taunt / State Of The Art Living Dead) on drums distorted.

define the music of Zeus! with a label is not easy, the only thing certain is that the onset of ZEUS! is an incredible drive, unique and devastating, something far far from what is often produced in Italy, but also with a taste noise that Italy seems to have rediscovered in the last few years thanks to the success of ZU.

Careful selection of guests, including Enrico Gabrielli and Valerie Cane friends Mariposa, Andrea Mosconi, Giulio Favero (who is also mixing) gives keyboards, Theremin, and other freakadelie ground in this our hopeless chaos. Chris  Cutler (uno dei batteristi più folli degli ultimi 50 anni, ha suonato con Pere Ubu, the Residents e Gong) li ha anche scelti per una delle sue compilazioni su Recommended Records, e degli ZEUS! ormai si parla in tutta Europa. 

La formula basso + batteria di Luca+Paolo è ricca di sfumature che possano far pensare ad artisti di vario tipo, da Zappa ai Candiria, passando per ZU, Dillinger Escape Plan, Lightning Bolt and Bad Brains.
